چکیده

We present a rapid and accurate method of calibrating seismic systems using a random binary calibration signal and cross-spectral techniques. The complex transfer function obtained from the cross spectrum is least-squares fit to the ratio of two polynomials in s(s-i~) whose degrees are determined by a linear systems analysis. This provides a compact representation of the system frequency response. We demonstrate its application to two seismic systems, the IDA and SRO seismometers. This method yields calibrations to an accuracy of better than 1 per cent in amplitude and 1 ° in phase.

Simultaneous Determination of Hydrochlorothiazide and Enalapril Maleate in Pharmaceutical Formulations Using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometry

A new Fourier Transform-Infra Red (FT-IR) spectrometric method was developed for assaying hydrochlorothiazide (HCT) and enalapril maleate (ENM) in binary solid pharmaceutical formulations. Multivariate Partial Least Squares (PLS) method was used for calibration of derivative spectral data. Acetonitrile was used as solvent due to its spectral tran...

Spectral band difference effects on radiometric cross-calibration between multiple satellite sensors in the Landsat solar-reflective spectral domain

This paper reports on an investigation of radiometric calibration errors due to differences in spectral response functions between satellite sensors when attempting cross-calibration based on near-simultaneous imaging of common ground targets in analogous spectral bands. Five Earth observation sensors on three satellite platforms were included on the basis of their overpass times being within 4...

An Augmented Classical Least Squares Method for Quantitative Raman Spectral Analysis against Component Information Loss

We propose an augmented classical least squares (ACLS) calibration method for quantitative Raman spectral analysis against component information loss. The Raman spectral signals with low analyte concentration correlations were selected and used as the substitutes for unknown quantitative component information during the CLS calibration procedure. The number of selected signals was determined by...

Using the oscillation frequencies of α Cen A recently discovered by Bouchy & Carrier (2001, 2002), the available astrometric, photometric and spectroscopic data, we tried to improve the calibration of the visual binary system α Cen. With the revisited masses of Pour-baix et al. (2002) we do not succeed to obtain a solution satisfying all the seismic observational constraints. Relaxing the const...

CIS-UltraCal: An open-source ultrasound calibration toolkit

We present an open-source MATLAB toolkit for ultrasound calibration. It has a convenient graphical user interface which sits on top of an extensive API. Calibration using three different phantoms is explicitly supported: the cross-wire phantom, the single-wall phantom, and the Hopkins phantom. Image processing of the Hopkins phantom is automated by making use of techniques from binary morpholog...
